Job description
Position Highlights:
Location: Auburn, NY
Duration: Ongoing assignment (minimum 1-year commitment)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
The Locum works in a variety of settings specifically our ICP which is like a day treatment type of program and with our SMI population. They will also be asked to complete evaluations (2PC, Competency, etc.) and Court Ordered Psychiatric Medications (COPM).
Areas of coverage to include RCTP (Resident Crisis Treatment Program, Residential Rehabilitation Unit(RRU) and Special Housing Unit(SHU).
Setting: Outpatient Corrections / Maximum Security Facility
Patient Volume: Approximately 10-16 patients per day
Responsibilities include psychiatric evaluations, competency evaluations, court-related assessments, and Court Ordered Psychiatric Medication (COPM) cases
Credentialing timeline: Approximately 4-6 weeks.
Requirements:
Forensic psychiatry/corrections experience required
Active New York license and DEA
Board Certified (or within 3 years of residency completion)
Comfortable working independently and utilizing Microsoft Word/computer-based documentation
