Bronx, New York - Associate Medical Director, Psychiatry

Clinical Role: Seeking a board certified psychiatristPermanent, full-time employed positionAssociate Medical Director opportunity with a blend of clinical care and leadership responsibilitiesBuild and expand an integrated behavioral health program serving:Homebound patientsAssisted living residentsPatients with dementia and cognitive impairmentPatients with complex psychiatric and medical comorbidities Provide psychiatric evaluations and ongoing treatment through outpatient clinics, telehealth, home visits, and facility-based careDevelop evidence-based behavioral health programs integrated with primary care and long-term careEstablish clinical protocols and treatment pathways for medically complex behavioral health patientsSupervise and mentor Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioners and other behavioral health providersLead interdisciplinary case review meetings and support treatment planningCollaborate with primary care physicians, social workers, care management teams, and family caregiversHelp develop scalable workflows, documentation processes, and behavioral health integration initiativesParticipate in program development including Collaborative Care Model (CoCM), Behavioral Health Integration, and tele-behavioral health servicesPrescribe and manage psychiatric medicationsNo inpatient responsibilitiesH-1B visa sponsorship availableAllow RecruitWell to coordinate a phone call with the employer to discuss the opportunity Requirements: MD or DOBoard Certified PsychiatryActive New York license or ability to obtainExperience treating adults with complex psychiatric and medical conditionsExperience supervising behavioral health clinicians preferredStrong interest in integrated behavioral health and value-based care Preferred Experience: Geriatric PsychiatryLong-term care psychiatryHome-based careTelepsychiatryBehavioral Health IntegrationCollaborative Care Model (CoCM)Leadership or program development experience Organization Information: Large, established multispecialty medical group serving patients throughout New York CityMore than 500 healthcare providers across 50+ outpatient locationsComprehensive services including primary care, specialty care, behavioral health, home-based care, nursing home services, urgent care, and telehealthCollaborative, mission-driven environment focused on improving access and outcomes through integrated, value-based care Compensation & Benefits: Competitive compensation package - $240,000-$260,000+Salary includes bonus and incentive opportunitiesComprehensive benefits packageFlexible schedulingLeadership growth opportunitiesCollaborative physician leadership environment Area Information: The Bronx offers a vibrant mix of culture, diversity, and energy while providing easy access to everything New York City has to offer.
