Job description
The Psychiatrist provides direct patient care to patients in in-patient and out-patient psychiatric/behavioral health settings. The Psychiatrist is responsible for the evaluation of psychiatric health and medical needs as well as developing and implementing a plan to treat the patients in their care.
nMinimum Requirements:
nnnGraduation from an accredited Medical School with aDoctorate's degree in Medicine (MD/DO) is required. Successful completion of a psychiatricresidency approved by the Accreditation Council of on Graduate Medical Education(ACGME) or equivalent body

nnLicensed to practice medicine in the state of practice asrequired. Must be Board Certified orBoard Eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

nnActive DEA and DPS numbers are required
n
nnComplies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
n
nnCurrent CPR if applicable
n
nnTB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
n
nnCurrent Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
n
nnMust meet all federal, state, and local requirements
n
nnMust be at least 18 years of age
