This regional medical center is a well-established healthcare facility serving the eastern Kentucky community with a comprehensive range of medical services. The facility features a 52-bed psychiatric department with a strong support structure, providing an excellent environment for delivering quality patient care.
Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Psychiatry
Job Details:
Provide inpatient psychiatric care with approximately 15 patient encounters per shift
Manage a broad range of clinical areas including anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, developmental disorders, psychotic disorders, and organic disorders
Conduct and oversee involuntary commitments in accordance with facility protocols
Administer and manage seclusion therapy and restraint application as needed
Utilize pharmacotherapy as a primary treatment technique
Facilitate group therapy sessions and provide family therapy as preferred
Must hold an active Kentucky license or IMLC licensure
Board certification required with BLS certification
Estimated credentialing timeframe of approximately 30 days

Assignment start date September 14, 2026 with ongoing need
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
