Manchester Memorial Hospital is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist to join our Adult Inpatient Unit and become an integral part of one of New England's most comprehensive behavioral health systems.
This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality inpatient psychiatric care while collaborating with an experienced multidisciplinary team and contributing to the education of psychiatry residents and medical students. The selected physician will cover a 22-bed adult inpatient unit, shared between two physician-led teams, ensuring a collaborative and supportive practice environment.
Position Highlights
Provide inpatient psychiatric care for adults with a broad range of psychiatric conditions
Collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary treatment team
Participate in psychiatry resident supervision and medical student education
Eligible for an academic appointment through the University of Connecticut School of Medicine
Monday through Friday schedule
No required after-hours call
Optional moonlighting opportunities for additional income

Dual diagnosis and adolescent inpatient psychiatry services at Manchester Memorial Hospital
Additional adult, young adult, and older adult inpatient units at nearby Rockville General Hospital
Child and adolescent inpatient psychiatry services
Emergency Department psychiatry services
Consult-liaison psychiatry services
Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP)
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)
Outpatient behavioral he alth ambulatory services serving adults, children, and adolescents

Qualifications
Qualifications
MD or DO degree
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Eligible for an unrestricted Connecticut medical license
Interest in academic psychiatry, teaching, and leadership
Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based behavioral healthcare
