Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist New York, NY Description We are seeking a Locum Tenens Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist to provide full-time psychiatric care in New York, NY. The psychiatrist will work on a Transition to Home Unit (THU) serving adult patients with a history of homelessness.
The multidisciplinary team focuses on rehabilitation, recovery, and successful reintegration into the community .

Job Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
Perform standardized risk assessments
Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams
Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation
Lead a weekly medication education group
Provide teaching and supervision of medical students as needed
Qualifications MD or DO
Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency
Active New York State medical license
ABPN Board Certified in Psychiatry
Minimum of 3 years of post-residency clinical experience
Medicare enrolled
Medicaid enrolled
