Job Description And Duties
This vacancy is for current, State civil service employees looking for an additional position. This is a limited term/temporary appointment. Applications are being accepted from rank and file staff currently licensed in one of the following classifications:
Consulting Psychologist (7620)
Psychologist (Health Facility - Clinical - Safety) (9873)
Sexually Violent Predator Evaluator (7621)
Sr. Psychologist, (Health Facility) (Spec) (9839)
The Psychologist will be directed by the Chief Psychologist and/or Senior Psychologist, Supervisor of the Psychology Department at the Department of State Hospitals – Atascadero (ASH). The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:
Complete Admission Psychological Assessment (APA) for patients to further delineate and clarify psychiatric and psychological diagnoses.
Conduct intellectual and cognitive assessments of all patients when clinically indicated.
Conduct psychological assessments.
Responsible for creating and monitoring behavioral interventions.
Provide timely feedback to the patient, the results of psychological assessments and evaluations, and complete appropriate documentation of this interaction.
