n nResponsibilities
nThe Physical Therapist Assistant student provides physical therapy treatments to patients to facilitate increased independence and functioning under the supervision of a Licensed
nPhysical Therapist and/or Physical Therapist Assistant.
nnThe Physical Therapist Assistant Student will follow all Powerback Rehabilitation policy and
n nprocedures outlined in the on-boarding and orientation process.
nnThe Physical Therapist Assistant Student is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of
n nrehab services; adherence to an established plan of care, department and patient(s)' schedule, and
ntimely documentation of services with the supervision of the Clinical Instructor.
nnThe Physical Therapist Assistant Student attends and contributes to patient care, staffing
n nconferences and other required meetings as a representative of physical therapy, under the
ndirection of the physical therapist and/or Clinical Instructor.
nnThe Physical Therapist Assistant Student works with other members of the rehabilitation team to
n nimplement programs and activities consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient with
nsupervision from the Clinical Instructor.
nnnThe Physical Therapist Assistant Student instructs patients, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the physical therapy treatment program under the supervision of the Physical Therapist and/or Clinical Instructor.
n
nnMaintains appropriate and timely documentation for all patients treated with supervision from the Clinical Instructor.
n
nnCleans, maintains, identifies, and reports the need for repair of equipment, as necessary with
n
n nsupervision from the Clinical Instructor.
nnPuts Patient Service First: Ensures that patients and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights with
n nsupervision from the Clinical Instructor.
nnnImplements patient's individualized treatment plan as established by the primary Physical Therapist with supervision from the Clinical Instructor.
n
nnWith the supervision of their Clinical Instructor, Physical Therapist Assistant student may provide individualized physical therapy treatments including but not limited to:
n
n na. Therapeutic exercise including aerobic capacity conditioning, balance coordination,
nagility training, body mechanics and postural stabilization, flexibility exercises, gait and
nlocomotion training, neuromotor development training, relaxation, strength, power, and
nendurance training
nb. Functional training
nc. Manual therapy Airway clearance techniques
nd. Integumentary repair and protection
ne. Use of electrotherapeutic, physical agent and mechanical modalities
nnWith the supervision of their Clinical Instructor, the Physical Therapist Assistant student will
n norganize and facilitate treatment utilizing the most appropriate mode of delivery with the physical
ntherapist.
nQualifications

n nPosted Salary Range
nUSD $35.00 - USD $38.00 /Hr.
