An exceptional opportunity awaits a dedicated Nurse Practitioner in Shippensburg, PA, to join a unique facility-based long-term care model. This role offers the chance to provide comprehensive primary care within skilled nursing facilities, making a significant impact on the lives of elderly residents in a supportive environment. You will manage a panel of elderly and long-term care patients, addressing their complex health needs directly within their residential setting, fostering continuity of care and improved outcomes. We are seeking an autonomous and compassionate clinician with a background in geriatric, adult, or family care. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing complex chronic conditions and thrives in a collaborative interdisciplinary team setting, committed to providing patient-centered care. ## Key Responsibilities - Provide primary care to long-term care residents in skilled nursing facilities - Assess and manage acute changes in condition; initiate appropriate diagnostic workup and treatment - Conduct advanced care planning and manage chronic disease conditions - Prescribe medications including controlled substances in accordance with PA law - Communicate with nursing home staff and collaborate with attending physicians on care plans ## Qualifications - Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in PA (required) - National board certification (AANP or ANCC) - Active DEA licensure - Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric specialties - Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting preferred - Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) ## Benefits - 401(k) with company match (Full Time only) - Comprehensive medical/dental/vision insurance (Full Time only) - Paid time off (Full Time only) - $5,000 sign-on bonus (Full Time only) - Bonus pay - CME/continuing education credits - Recertification reimbursement - Malpractice insurance coverage Schedule - Full Time / Part Time-based schedule serving skilled nursing facilities in Shippensburg, PA Location Shippensburg, PA 17257 Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, offers a charming small-town atmosphere with easy access to larger metropolitan areas like Harrisburg and Carlisle.
