Machine Operator$25/hr.PT (20-24 hours per week)Mon, Wed & Thurs2 Months or longer contractExpress Employment Professionals is seeking a qualified Machine Operator, Part-time for approx. 2 months to safely and efficiently run the four machines while carefully documenting each test batch. This role is essential to producing reliable, well-documented data that the engineering and compliance teams will use to evaluate the project's success. The ideal candidate is punctual, detail-oriented, and safety-minded above all else.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate four small-scale machines that crush, dry, extrude, and kiln-bake (pyrolyze) biomass feedstock into charcoal.Blend biomass feedstocks (e.g., hardwood sawdust, peanut shells, pecan shells, cotton gin waste) in predetermined ratios according to written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Follow all SOPs and safety protocols precisely and consistently across every batch.Record detailed, accurate production notes for each batch, including feedstock ratios, processing times, temperatures, and any deviations or equipment issues.Move finished product into designated storage lockers, and stage samples for internal and third-party lab testing.Use a shovel and other basic hand tools to handle raw feedstock and finished product.Understand and be able to operate a chemical fire extinguisher in the event of an emergency.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times- including cleaning of equipment after each use to ensure no buildup of ash or other contaminants to ensure proper working condition of the machines and to mitigate any sample contamination.Required QualificationsAt least 1 year of experience operating industrial or manufacturing machinery.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.Ability to take detailed, accurate written notes and follow multi-step instructions precisely.Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.Ability to work in a hands-on shop/pilot-facility environment, including exposure to dust, heat, and noise while wearing required PPE.Qualified candidates interested, complete online application and submit resume to
