Job Description Position is scheduled 24 hours per week. Position Summary Under the direction of the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Specialist is responsible for many day-to-day functions of the payroll department. Responsibilities include payroll processing, time keeping maintenance, supervisor and employee inquiries, journal entries, and some audit preparation assistance. Essential Duties Works closely with the Payroll Manager and others to ensure time records are processed timely and accurately. Help ensure that bi-weekly payroll is always processed timely and accurately. Provides support to manage the resolution of payroll problems and provides other types of payroll and timesheet support as needed. Maintains and ensures compliance with payroll policies and procedures to make sure that team member actions conform to policies and regulations. Compliance with applicable laws such as federal and state income tax, wage and paid time off regulations, payroll policies and procedures. Helps ensure accuracy of payroll deductions, garnishments, bonus payments, shift differentials, paid or unpaid leave, overtime, and similar pay factors. Adheres to the strict confidentiality of payroll records, pay rate information and other wage related employee issues. Works in conjunction with Payroll Manager to ensure timely reporting of quarterly PBJ data and other payroll compliance deadlines. Ensures that the management, distribution, and accuracy of annual W2s are done within the required period as governed by the law. Performs
