Job description

Physical Therapist

Imagine immersing yourself in the beauty of Buffalo, New York, where the vibrant cultural scene meets the serenity of waterfront parks and breathtaking architecture. Picture yourself with the opportunity to influence lives profoundly as a Physical Therapist, supporting individuals on their journey to recovery, whether it's taking their first steps post-surgery, regaining their strength after a stroke, or recalling their voice after illness. In this fulfilling role, you'll not only facilitate healing but also restore dignity and confidence during some of life's most challenging moments, all within a community that celebrates resilience and recovery. We invite you to join our dedicated team in Buffalo, where professional growth and personal well-being are intertwined. The region's dynamic atmosphere offers you the chance to connect with a team of compassionate healthcare professionals who share your commitment to helping others. With access to cutting-edge facilities and a supportive network, this is your moment to create a meaningful impact in an environment that fosters both clinical excellence and a sense of belonging. In your everyday practice, you will assess patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, crafting individualized treatment plans that respond to their unique needs. Your expertise will shine through as you provide physical therapy interventions aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall function. Collaboration will be key—working alongside nurses, physicians, case managers, and fellow rehabilitation specialists to drive optimal outcomes for every patient. Keeping patients and their families informed will also be a crucial part of your role. You'll educate them on therapeutic objectives, discharge planning, and at-home exercises, ensuring they feel empowered in their recovery. Maintaining thorough documentation of evaluations, treatments, and progress will be essential, as you navigate compliance with facility and regulatory standards. Participation in care team rounds and interdisciplinary conferences will enhance coordinated care, reinforcing your integral part in every patient's journey. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution, along with the necessary state licensure as a Physical Therapist, and a preference for CPR certification. While specialized certifications related to areas such as neurology or geriatrics are great additions, they are not mandatory. Experience in treating patients with complex medical and mobility challenges will serve you well, as will your superb communication skills and your ability to build effective teamwork within our professional setting. Familiarity with digital charting and clinical documentation systems is also valuable. As a member of our team, you will enjoy a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance to cater to your personal well-being. Opportunities for continuing education and reimbursed licensure will further enhance your professional journey, along with paid time off and flexible schedules to encourage a balanced lifestyle. Every day will present unique challenges and rich opportunities for connection and contribution. You will be the trusted support during a patient's crucial early recovery stages—whether you're guiding someone in regaining their balance post-surgery or walking alongside them as they achieve mobility following a stroke. This role is characterized by hands-on work, where your clinical competencies merge with profound human compassion. In this high-touch environment, you'll implement tailored treatment plans, adapting strategies as patients progress on their journeys. Your experience and presence will play vital roles in discharge planning, ensuring every patient transitions safely back home. The immeasurable reward lies in witnessing the immediate impact of your efforts, revealing how meaningful your care can be in transforming lives. We're searching for someone who embodies more than just their professional credentials. If you recognize that movement is indeed medicine, that kindness carries immense power, and that progress can take many shapes—from standing up to walking again—you could be the perfect fit for this role. We welcome applications from both early-career professionals and seasoned experts alike who exemplify a dedication to evidence-based practices, collaboration, and authentic human connection. Join us to not only help others move forward, but also to progress in your own career as you immerse yourself in a welcoming city that blends rich history with modern innovation. In Buffalo, you'll find more than just a job; you'll discover a calling where expertise meets purpose and your compassion makes significant differences in lives. We're excited to support your journey to grow, learn new skills, and rediscover the joy in doing work that genuinely matters. Come be part of something remarkable as we work together to foster mobility—and a brighter tomorrow.
