Job description

PT / Physical Therapist Specialist

Imagine waking up each day in a vibrant city where your work has the profound ability to transform lives. As a PT / Physical Therapist Specialist, you'll not only aid in recovery but also honor the resilience of individuals navigating life after injury or illness. You'll be part of a community dedicated to moving forward together, and you'll find fulfillment in your role as a catalyst for healing. We're thrilled to welcome a compassionate and highly skilled PT / Physical Therapist Specialist to our team in Norfolk, Virginia. This coastal city blends professional satisfaction with an inviting lifestyle that is hard to resist. Here, you'll find clinical excellence alongside a supportive community that inspires you to reach new heights in your career. Every day, you'll engage with patients, assessing their needs in either an inpatient or outpatient setting to create tailored treatment plans that meet their unique goals. Your work will focus on facilitating mobility, enhancing strength, and improving balance and function. Collaboration is key in your role; you'll work closely with nurses, physicians, case managers, and fellow therapists to ensure the best possible outcomes for your patients. Education will be a part of your mission as you inform patients and their families about their treatment objectives and discharge plans. Your documentation will be thorough, adhering to all facility and regulatory guidelines, ensuring a seamless and coordinated care experience. Participating in interdisciplinary conferences and care team rounds will allow you to contribute to a holistic approach to patient well-being. To qualify, you'll need a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program along with state licensure as a Physical Therapist. A CPR certification is preferred, and while specialized certifications in areas such as neurology or geriatrics are beneficial, they're not a requirement. Your previous experience in physical therapy will be an asset as you treat patients with diverse medical histories and mobility needs. Exceptional communication and teamwork will be your strong suit, allowing for effective collaboration in our digitally advanced clinical environment. We offer a competitive compensation package that reflects your invaluable contributions, alongside comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance. You'll find opportunities for continuing education and financial support for licensure renewal, ensuring that your professional growth remains a priority. We emphasize work-life balance with paid time off and flexible scheduling, fostering a supportive teamwork culture that encourages clinical advancement. In this role, each interaction will be significant. You'll guide individuals through critical stages of their journey toward recovery, whether it involves regaining stability post-surgery or nurturing gait function after a stroke. Your approach will be grounded in empathy as you implement targeted treatment methods and adapt them in response to patient progress. Collaboration will be paramount, as you'll have a hand in orchestrating personalized discharge plans that facilitate a smooth transition to home. This position is an opportunity to engage in a rewarding career where your clinical expertise meshes flawlessly with the impact of your compassionate care. You'll be a crucial part of transforming lives every single day, with immediate results that change the course of someone's recovery. Who are you? You understand that every step matters in the healing process and that every small achievement is worth celebrating. You are more than a resume; you're a compassionate professional whose heart beats for the well-being of others. You thrive in fast-paced, multidisciplinary settings and are eager to embrace opportunities for growth in evidence-based practice, teamwork, and human connection. Join us as a PT / Physical Therapist Specialist in Norfolk, Virginia, where you will connect with passionate colleagues in a spirited work culture that energizes your daily grind. We are excited to help you develop your career further, enhance your skills, and rediscover the joy of work that truly matters. Together, let's move forward and empower those around us to soar once again.
