Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position with the potential for extension based on performance and facility needs.
Schedule
5x8.0 - 40 hours/week, 8 hours per day.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will embody the core values of our organization, ensuring superior quality care while maintaining a safe, teamwork-focused environment.
Responsibilities
Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the Physical Therapist.
Assist in therapeutic interventions aimed at achieving patients' long-term goals, including posture training, strengthening exercises, and community re-entry training.
Train patients on the use of assistive devices and demonstrate proper safety techniques.
Monitor patient responses and intervene as necessary, documenting progress and educating patients and families.
Consult with other healthcare disciplines regarding therapy provided and projected treatment goals.
Participate in team conferences and special projects designed to enhance patient care quality and efficiency.
Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and personal appearance guidelines.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Degree in Physical Therapy from an Accredited School.
CAPTE Certification.
Minimum of 2 years of outpatient clinical experience preferred.
CPR Certification.
