Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Day ShiftThe Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) supports the delivery of physical therapy services by assisting with transportation, therapeutic exercises, and functional activities as outlined in care plans. The role emphasizes patient and employee safety and adheres to established state practice guidelines.ResponsibilitiesAssist the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment goals and plans.Conduct therapeutic interventions such as posture training, strengthening exercises, endurance training, and balance exercises.Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices.Demonstrate therapeutic modalities including whirlpools, hot/cold packs, and ultrasound treatments.Monitor patient responses and document progress weekly.Provide patient and family education on mobility, transfers, positioning, and exercises.Establish professional relationships with patients and staff while serving as a resource for interdisciplinary consultation.Participate in team conferences and special projects aimed at improving patient care quality.Attend continuing education in Physical Therapy and provide in-service training for peers.Ensure adherence to all safety, infection control guidelines, and departmental policies.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureValid state PTA license.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.2 years of experience is highly desired.ScheduleThis position operates on a Day shift schedule, working 5 days a week with 8 hours per shift.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
