Job Description
Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday to Friday. The shifts are as follows:
7 AM to 4 PM with a 1-hour lunch
10 AM to 7 PM (Tuesday to Thursday) with a 1-hour lunch
Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant role focuses on delivering superior quality care to patients while promoting a safe environment for both patients and staff. This position requires adherence to safety protocols and supports a collaborative approach to patient therapy interventions. Responsibilities include assisting the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment goals and managing patient care effectively.
Responsibilities Implement treatment goals and programs as established by the Physical Therapist.
Assist in therapeutic interventions, including strength training, posture training, and functional skills training.
Demonstrate and instruct patients in the use of assistive devices.
Monitor patient responses and document their progress.
Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment by adhering to safety policies and infection control measures.
Establish and maintain professional relationships with patients, families, and staff.
Participate in team conferences and share knowledge for ongoing improvement of patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
CAPTE Certified.
2+ years of outpatient clinical experience.
Current CPR certification.
Active and applicable state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
