Job Summary/Basic Function
Adjunct Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity on an as needed basis. These positions are filled prior to or during each semester and are contingent upon the needs of the College.
Academic departments will contact potential applicants when there are available openings.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Reports to the Division Chair of Mechanical and Construction Technologies
Teaches Automotive classes using traditional and alternative delivery methods
CCPI
College benefits do not accrue with this part-time position.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
This position requires one of the following:
A Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology from a regionally accredited college or university or
An Associate’s degree in Automotive Technology, and a minimum of three years of non‑teaching wage earning experience in the occupational field or
Demonstrated ability in working with culturally diverse populations
Interest in alternative instructional delivery methods
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institution
Exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration as long as Southern Association (SACS) minimum educational credentials are met
