Job Summary/Basic Function
Adjunct Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity on an as needed basis. These positions are filled prior to or during each semester and are contingent upon the needs of the College. Brazosport College accepts application materials for pool positions on a continuing basis throughout the year from qualified applicants willing to teach on a part-time basis. Academic departments will contact potential applicants when there are available openings.
Job Duties
Reports to the Division Chair of Social Sciences and Business
Teaches Humanities classes using traditional and alternative delivery methods
College benefits do not accrue with this part-time position.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Humanities
Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours from any one or a combination of the following areas: Philosophy, English Literature, Arts, History, Classical Studies, and Humanities
Interest in alternative instructional delivery methods
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institution
Exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration as long as Southern Association (SACS) minimum educational credentials are met
