Job description
Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Wilkesboro Pulmonology is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pulmonologist to lead a community-based practice. This is an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive pulmonary care to a diverse patient population while enjoying a high level of autonomy and continuity in patient relationships.
As the sole Pulmonologist in the practice, you will play a key role in shaping care delivery and building lasting connections within the community. The practice is grounded in a patient-centered approach, emphasizing quality, access, and clinical excellence.
Position Highlights:
Full-time providers work 36 patient-facing hours and 4 administrative hours
Office/Clinic Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Shift/Schedule this clinician will be required to work: mix of inpatient and outpatient
Clinical Support Structure (e.g., number of physicians, APPs, nurses): new clinical position with intent to grow to meet community need
Physician Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited medical school (M.D./D.O.).
Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency.
Completion of a Pulmonary fellowship at an ACGME-accredited institution.
Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pulmonary
Current or eligible for North Carolina Medical License.
BLS certification by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
Current DEA and DPS registration for prescription writing.
