Job description
Locums - Norton, Virginia, Pulmonology Job
Start Date: 12/07/2026
Schedule & Coverage:
1 week per month
Monday-Friday
8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
10-hour shifts
No weekends
No call
Patient Volume & Population:
Approximately 10 patients per day
Up to 6 patients per day for critical care rounding
Approximately 4 patients per day for Black Lung evaluations
Adult patients / coal miners
Practice Setting & Support:
Pulmonology
Respiratory Therapists available for support
EMR: Epic
Epic experience required; facility will not provide training
Procedures & Skills:
Possible arterial line insertions
EKG interpretation
Pulmonary function test (PFT) interpretation
Requirements:
Board Certified Pulmonologist
Active Virginia license
