Punch Press Operator IIThe Punch Press Operator II is responsible for production of fabricated and/or machined parts. This role focuses on operating fabrication equipment.Essential Duties And Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Operate Punch Press and support equipmentSet up dies and operate shop equipmentSet up MaterialShear MaterialDeburr and sand parts to sizeClean partsNotifies supervisor or lead person of discrepanciesParticipates in process improvement efforts with Manufacturing Engineering and SupervisionPerform 1st article inspections using calipers and other basic measuring toolsEnsures machinery and equipment is operationalClean machines and toolingCompletes other duties as assignedQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.RequiredHigh school diploma or GED, two to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to document work and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to perform routine calculations and measurements accurately.Ability to safely lift to 30 pounds and perform repetitive manual tasks.Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced work environment.Preferred3 - 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience working in aerospace, defense, automotive, or other regulated manufacturing environments.Skills And CompetenciesStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.Attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.Ability to perform work requiring sustained concentration.Solid technical math and measurement skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with engineers, supervisors, and team members.Commitment to safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
