Job description
Purchasing Assistant (Onsite)Schedule:Monday to Friday7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PMIncludes a 30-minute meal breakFully remoteCore Responsibilities:Process all purchasing and special requests accurately and timelyHandle vendor requisitions within 24 hoursMaintain backorder reports and address substitutionsWork closely with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice/price discrepancies (within 48 hours)Validate confirmations (EDI/fax) to avoid service disruptionsCommunicate and coordinate effectively with departmentsReport supplier/customer issues per policyOptimize tools like EDI, online requisitioning, and e-faxingEnforce Market Purchasing PolicyTrack emergency deliveries via expedited logRequirements:Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required)Experience: 1–3 years in purchasing/order entry (Preferred)Desired Skills & Competencies:AdaptabilityCollaboration / Relationship-buildingTeam contributionCustomer focusProfessional/technical knowledgeHigh performance standards and accountabilityNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
