Job TitlePurchasing Assistant – Wine and BeerSalary RangeUSD $27.00/Hr.OverviewThe Job in a NutshellUnder the direction of the Category Manager, the Purchasing Assistant – Wine and Beer, supports results by assisting with assortments, new products, promotions, pricing, and store-level coordination to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant execution.ResponsibilitiesAssortments & PlanogramsSupport planogram and assortment maintenance to ensure store-level accuracy and complianceUse internal systems and data tools to analyze assortments and provide recommendationsMaintain site-specific set information and manage updates related to new and discontinued itemsNew Products & Vendor SupportAssist with new product screening, documentation review, and vendor setupSupport product quality reviews and compliance with applicable regulationsParticipate in new product review processes and documentationOrdering & InventorySupport promotional, new products, and new store ordering activitiesAssist with inventory reviews, recalls, returns, and discontinued itemsPromotions & PricingSupport promotional execution, documentation, and validation of vendor fundingAssist with pricing updates, price change processing, and discrepancy resolutionProof promotional materials and maintain related recordsCommunication & CollaborationServe as a support contact for stores, vendors, brokers, and internal partnersCollaborate closely with Category Managers to ensure timely and accurate executionQualificationsRecipe for SuccessMinimum 3 years of experience in the natural foods industry with a working knowledge of planograms and merchandising.Must have intermediate Microsoft Excel experience.Must be detail oriented with excellent organization skills.Strong relationship building and influencing skills.Excellent communication skills are required.Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
