Job description
Job TitleThis is a non-skiing/non-snowboarding position.Receives, stores and issues equipment, material, supplies, merchandise, or tools and compiles stock records in stockroom, warehouse or storage yard by performing the following duties.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCounts and sorts incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices.Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.Requisitions articles to fill incoming orders.Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes and refusal of shipments.Drives company vehicle to retrieve purchases and run errands for company.Additional duties: Due to the many variables that affect Winter resort operations, such as weather and number of guests, occasionally employees may be asked to perform other duties or assist in efforts outside their primary area of responsibility as needed, including performing in any subordinate position.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.CompetencyTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Attendance/Punctuality: Is consistently at work and on time; attends required staff meetings.Dependability: Follows instructions; responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals; completes tasks on time.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.Training, Certificates & Licenses: Valid California Driver's License and acceptable driving record.Physical and Environmental Demand Level: 2 – MediumThe physical and environmental demand level as described in Level 2 (MEDIUM) are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. It requires that work venues are varied and in many cases include steep stairways, multi-level buildings and outdoor work areas, subject to very cold, sometimes wet or very sunny work sites. Walking surfaces are frequently frozen, sloped and slippery. Proper footwear is a must, indoors and out. Work days and hours, as well as the number of hours required will vary, with an emphasis on weekends and holidays.
