Job description
Roles and Responsibilities
Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing of enterprise applications.
Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Selenium .
Build and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks .
Develop and execute API tests for REST-based services and system integrations.
Perform backend and database validation using SQL and MySQL queries .
Validate data integrity, business rules, workflows, and system integrations across applications.
Create and maintain detailed test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, and test execution reports .
Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using Jira .
Analyze test failures and perform root-cause investigation in collaboration with development teams.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and software release activities.
Participate in test planning, requirement reviews, defect triage, and release readiness discussions.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Business, and other cross-functional teams throughout the SDLC.
Identify opportunities to improve automation coverage, test efficiency, and overall QA processes .
Maintain accurate testing documentation and provide clear status updates on test execution, defects, risks, and quality metrics.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA standards, processes, tools, and automation practices.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in QA, Software Testing, and Test Automation.
Strong hands-on experience with functional and automated software testing .
Proficiency in Python for test automation and scripting.
Strong experience developing and maintaining Selenium-based automation frameworks .
Hands-on experience with REST API testing and validation .
Strong SQL skills with experience validating backend data using SQL/MySQL .
Experience with Jira for defect management, test tracking, and issue resolution.
Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and software testing methodologies.
Experience with regression, integration, end-to-end, and system testing.
Strong understanding of defect lifecycle, test planning, test execution, and release validation.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Ability to work fully onsite and support PST working hours .
Preferred Qualifications
Experience testing enterprise business applications and complex integrated systems.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Experience with test management and reporting tools.
Knowledge of API automation frameworks and tools such as Postman or similar platforms.
Experience troubleshooting application, API, integration, and data-related issues.
Understanding of software development and release processes.
