Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce QA Analyst to support a large Salesforce implementation. This individual will be responsible for ensuring quality throughout the development lifecycle, with an emphasis on manual testing, Salesforce functionality, business-process validation, and investigative testing.

This role requires more than executing predefined test cases. The ideal candidate will become involved early in the development process, understand the business need behind what is being built, and proactively identify gaps or issues before they reach production.

One of the positions will have a strong focus on Salesforce Field Service and supply chain processes, including parts, distribution, and returns.

Key Responsibilities

Perform hands-on manual testing across Salesforce applications and business processes.

Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.

Participate early in the development lifecycle to understand requirements and identify potential quality concerns.

Validate that Salesforce solutions meet both documented requirements and the intended business process.

Perform exploratory and investigative testing to identify defects, edge cases, and unexpected system behavior.

Conduct backend data validation using SQL.

Document, communicate, and track defects through resolution.

Partner closely with systems analysts, developers, implementation partners, and business stakeholders.

Challenge requirements or solutions when functionality does not align with the underlying business need.

Develop manual test cases with future automation in mind and collaborate with automation resources as the QA practice evolves.

Support traceability and testing requirements within a regulated environment.

Required Qualifications

Strong hands-on Salesforce QA/testing experience.

Experience testing complex Salesforce applications and business processes.

Strong manual testing experience, including creation of test plans and test cases.

Ability to perform exploratory testing and independently investigate system behavior.

SQL experience for backend data validation.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to understand business processes and translate them into effective testing scenarios.

Experience working directly with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and challenge assumptions when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Salesforce Field Service experience.

Experience testing supply chain processes such as parts, distribution, returns, or service operations.

Experience working within an FDA-regulated or similarly regulated environment.

Knowledge of testing traceability requirements.

Experience working with QA automation teams or developing manual tests designed for future automation.

Jira experience.

Experience supporting large Salesforce implementations.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a curious and analytical tester who does not simply ask, “Did the system meet the requirement?” but also asks, “Was the right solution built for the business?” This individual should be comfortable digging into complex functionality, challenging assumptions, and proactively finding issues while working collaboratively with technical and business teams.

The projected hourly range for this position is $65 to $70
