Role Overview
Apply your quality and source-inspection expertise to help train next-generation AI systems using real-world aerospace, defense, and marine inspection scenarios. Your expert judgments, technical rationale, and feedback will help improve how AI models learn, reason, and perform. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and disposition First Article Inspections under AS9102 against regulatory and customer requirements.
Assess cosmetic defects in manufacturing and assembly settings, documenting clear acceptance or rejection rationales.
Conduct virtual surveys and provide input on hull and marine structures using supplied documentation and data.
Analyze web and production-line inspection data to identify quality trends and inform source-inspection recommendations.
Apply Government Source Inspection knowledge, including DCMA protocols and FAR Part 46 requirements, to simulated scenarios.
Provide concise written and verbal feedback on inspection findings.
Create high-quality reports and datasets that reflect expert judgments and disposition rationale.
Qualifications
8+ years of complex quality-inspection experience, including substantial work with first article inspections, cosmetic disposition decisions, or production-line disposition decisions.
Deep familiarity with AS9102 First Article standards and the practical use of government inspection criteria, including DCMA and FAR Part 46.
Experience in U.S. defense or aerospace manufacturing, or marine surveying in regulated environments.
Demonstrated knowledge of hull and marine survey processes and standards.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document disposition decisions and explain technical reasoning.
Proficiency with digital documentation, reporting, and remote collaboration tools.
Experience as a senior QA inspector, supplier quality engineer, DCMA QAR, or marine surveyor is strongly preferred.
Work Terms
Remote contract engagement.
Compensation
$60 to $100 per hour.
