Quality Assurance TechnicianCity Brewing & Beverage is a leading U.S. co-manufacturer for top beverage brands. We foster a collaborative, growth-focused workplace where employees are empowered to learn, lead, and make an impact while helping shape the future of the beverage industry.The Quality Assurance Technician is an integral part of the QA department, working to maximize effectiveness, compliance, and day-to-day quality specification adherence. This role supports production by monitoring daily procedures, performing quality analysis, collecting and maintaining product samples, and conducting necessary swabbing and CCP checks. Additionally, the position works closely with production teams to uphold manufacturing specifications and promptly communicate quality concerns to prevent delays. The QA tech must be able to adapt to a variety of work environments and support Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) to ensure consistent product quality and regulatory compliance.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms required analytical laboratory tests on process product samples and finished goods. Testing is also performed on product and packaging materials as well as incoming productsPerforms government compliance testing on products that contain alcohol prior to releaseEvaluates all quality data in order to ensure a quality product this may include shutting down packaging equipment in order to maintain quality standardsQuarantines out of specification product and alerts appropriate production teams of impactAudits operator quality checks to determine completeness and operators' ability to perform the tasks appropriatelyEvaluates instrumentation control through the use of statistical process controlMonitors, calibrates, troubleshoots, and maintains laboratory equipment, requests assistance from maintenance teams for complex issuesCompletes all required paperwork and data entry accurately and in a timely mannerCommunicates with other departments as needed regarding the status of in process product streams, various materials and/or finished productsMaintaining housekeeping standards to prevent cross contamination during processingIdentifies areas of opportunity to improve processesEnsures compliance with internal, Federal, state, and local guidelines and regulations including but not limited to: GMP, HACCP, OSHA, FDA, and TTBReviews product formulations and specifications; communicates with other departments regarding new product specifications, methods, and testing needsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in chemistry or related science field or prior experience in a quality position in a manufacturing environmentStrong problem-solving skills and ability to implement corrective actionsEffective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teamsExcellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentationWorking knowledge of statistical methods and computer skillsAbility to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends as needed in support of a 24/7 operationCity Brewery is an Equal Opportunity Employer and all applicants will be considered without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran, or disability status.2nd Shift: 2:30pm to 10:30 pm 3rd Shift 11pm to 7am
