Job description

Quality AssemblerLocation: Aurora, IL 60502Pay Rate: $21.00/hrShift: Monday-Thursday, 7:00am-5:30pmThe Quality Control Assembler is responsible for assembling products and performing quality inspections to ensure all finished goods meet established specifications and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read technical documentation, and experience using measuring and inspection tools in a manufacturing environment.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret assembly instructions, technical drawings, blueprints, work orders, and product specifications.Assemble products and components using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and production equipment.Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to verify product quality, fit, alignment, appearance, and dimensional accuracy.Use measuring and inspection equipment to identify defects, non-conforming materials, missing components, and assembly discrepancies.Isolate non-conforming materials and collaborate with supervisors and other departments to ensure corrective actions and rework are completed.Verify completed assemblies against drawings, specifications, work orders, samples, and quality standards.Maintain accurate production and inspection records, including labor reporting and data entry in NetSuite.Assist with assembly, inspection, rework, inventory, and other production support activities as needed to meet operational demands.Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.QualificationsPrevious experience in assembly, quality control, or manufacturing preferred.Strong understanding of assembly processes, manufacturing procedures, and quality standards.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work instructions, and product specifications.Experience identifying visual and dimensional defects in components and finished products.Proficiency using measuring and inspection tools, including tape measures, rulers, squares, calipers, gauges, and related equipment.Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently maintain quality standards.Basic math and measurement skills.Ability to accurately document inspection results and production information.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.Effective communication skills with coworkers, leads, and supervisors.Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality expectations.Ability to balance production efficiency with quality requirements.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required.Manual dexterity to handle tools, equipment, and small components.
