Job description

Quality Assurance ClerkValmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Quality Assurance Clerk position in the Tulsa Operations Quality Department. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will provide administrative support.Essential Functions:Perform general administrative duties such as copying, scanning, faxing, mailing, filing, emailing and responding to and delivering communicationsReview, compare, analyze and approve data against specificationsMaintain accurate records for inspection records, scrap, rework, and field claimsIssue corrective actions requests in conjunction with field claimsPrepare and issue certification reports to customers or inspection agenciesBuy America and Material Testing ReportsIdentify trends and escapes from Fitters, Welders, Inspectors and defect typesCut logs and 589'sCreate pareto charts and understanding root cause analysis by tracking Yellow Card dataKeeping calendar for 3rd party inspection schedules and auditsAnswering correspondence as it pertains to quality data requestRequired Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):High School diploma and 1+ year experience in an administrative roleWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access and OutlookExperience maintaining an electronic and manual filing systemStrong analytical and numerical skills and the ability to enter and file data with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiencyThe ability to work in a fast-paced environment, working with many different individuals and multiple prioritiesHighly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications1 year experience in a quality administrative roleWorking knowledge of IFSThe ability to interpret quality specificationsExcellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsThe ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive mannerMust be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional resultsWorking Environment and Physical Efforts:Work is performed in a factory setting, with most of the time being spent moving around different areas of manufacturing and shipping areas. The incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time, as well as talk and listen on the phone and in personal conversations or meetings. This position will be exposed to all hazards located at manufacturing sites including noise, fumes, excessive heat/cold, dust, welding arc, all chemicals associated with the manufacturing areas, fire, smoke, unstable debris and confined spaces. Environment is fast-paced and demanding most of the time.The employee is frequently required to use hands to fingers, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms while working in the office with various files and forms and while working on the computer. Incumbent must utilize proper ergonomic safeguards such as monitor height and positions, keyboard location and height and proper wrist rests. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds in working with large files, binders, computer equipment and shop equipment.
