With operations across Canada and United States, Bento brings together a dynamic team of people with diverse backgrounds, experience, and talent, to create an exceptional guest experience.LocationOrlando Kitchen Incubator: 10501 S Orange Ave STE 105, Orlando, FL 32824ResponsibilitiesResponsible for GMP and HACCP consistent with company policies and procedures as well as regulatory compliance.Performs as a HACCP leader to ensure the HACCP program and pre-requisite programs are up-to-date and fully implemented in production.Provide leadership and direction in the plant QA team towards training, coaching and developing of QA technicians.Provide leadership during audits. Assist and lead as assigned by the QA Manager.Maintain records of finished product specifications, SOPs, SSOPs, QA forms, etc.Creates training materials to support GMP/HACCP/Sanitation programs at all levels of the company and provides routine employee training on quality, regulatory, and food safety principles and policies to ensure 100% completion.Reviews plant issues, ensures problems are resolved, and follows up on customer/supplier complaints with corrective actions and preventive measures.In conjunction with the Plant Operations, implements quality enhancement processes and procedures at the plant level to achieve process improvements and cost savings.Maintains Recall/Mock Recall, Traceability, FIFO, Continuous Improvement, Sanitation, Pest Control, Food Security, etc. programs.Supports third-party audits (GMP, Costco), customer and internal audit.Manages direct reports of 2 QA Technicians and prepares recommendations for team development.Oversees facility sanitation through monitoring of environmental swabbing and communicates with the Sanitation team on any identified cleaning issues.Reviews internal/external testing results for the raw material, finished products, etc.QualificationsCompletion of a college diploma in Food Science, or a related field.Preferred 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance.Preferred people management skills.Preferred (internal) auditing skills.Required to have GFSI experience (SQF is an asset), PCQI certificationStrong analytical, problem-solving and time management skills.Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate up and down the organization.Previous leadership experience, preferably in a Food Processing facility.Disciplined, motivated and accountable for all Quality Assurance matters.Strong systems skills (including MS Office).Why you should join our team :Power of Collaboration: Live our core values - "Own it", "Care about it", "Make it exceptional", and "Win together" - as we work together to create better food for everyone, the Japanese way.Competitive Rewards: Upon meeting eligibility criteria, reap the benefits of a comprehensive compensation, bonus plan, group health benefits, and retirement plans that recognize your outstanding contribution.Ignite Your Potential: Fuel your growth with extensive training and opportunities for career advancement, empowering you to unleash your full potential.Champion Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: We are committed to fostering a workplace where diversity, equity, and inclusion thrive, empowering every voice to be heard and celebrated through meaningful initiatives and programs.Drive Sustainable Impact: As part of our dedication to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, we actively promote sustainable practices and initiatives to create a positive impact on our environment and communities.
