Quality Assurance CoordinatorThe Quality Assurance Coordinator will support the Quality Assurance team with developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability for the organization's products and/or development processes.Essential duties and responsibilities include:Understanding, following, and enforcing all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures, and recognized practices.Participating in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned.Assisting in customer complaints investigation and corrective action process.Interacting with other supervisors/managers within RJW to share best practices.Assisting in monitoring current programs in quality assurance as it pertains to distribution and processing as well as uphold the tenants of GMP.Assisting with QMS programs, review integrated pest management system, and documentation compliance in Tracegains system.Being a part of the internal audit team and participating actively in the scheduled food safety and facility GMP audits.Being a part of the food safety team, assisting with maintaining the food safety plan and updates SOPs as required.Performing activities to support the quality system, quality policy, quality procedures, work procedures.Assisting with maintaining compliance of all Food Safety and Quality Programs including GMP, Organic and cGMP.Participating in and leading, where appropriate, internal and external audits or visits and prioritizing, assigning, and tracking the audit findings for completion.Documentation control and creation. This includes updating, reviewing, and assistance in evaluation of current and propAssisting in maintaining compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.Performing other duties as assigned.Required skills/abilities include:Knowledge of CFR for food, OTC, Medical Devices, Cosmetics and Dietary Supplements for warehouse and transportation.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Alchemy, Tracegains, Sedex, and other software.Ability to maintain close attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.Computer usage and typing skills are essential.Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with multiple departments, customers, and auditors.Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.Communicates effectively: conveys facts and information clearly both verbally and orally.Collaborates well with others, proactively contributes to group objectives; volunteers to help others.Be able to lead and train current and new members.Qualifications required include:High School Diploma3-5 years of working in quality assurance3-5 years of working in a GMP facility (preferred)Strong communication skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail.SQF and HACCP certifications requiredBenefits include:401(k) matchingMedical/Dental/Vision insuranceEmployee discountFlexible spending accountHealth savings accountPaid time offSick DaysLong-term Disability InsuranceShort-term Disability InsuranceAccidental InsuranceCritical Illness InsuranceDisability InsurancePhysical demands include:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.Must be able to lift 50 lbs.This job description is intended to provide general information about the Quality Assurance Coordinator position.
