Star Manufacturing is a growing manufacturer committed to producing safe, high-quality products while maintaining high standards of food safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager (New Position) to lead and strengthen our Quality and Food Safety programs.
Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Manager will oversee quality assurance, food safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement within our manufacturing operation.
This position will play a critical role in developing quality systems, supporting audits, managing corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs
Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems and procedures
Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and applicable industry standards
Conduct internal audits and prepare for external and regulatory audits
Manage CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions)
Investigate quality issues and implement corrective measures
Review and maintain SOPs, GMPs, and quality documentation
Train employees on food safety and quality standards
Support environmental monitoring programs
Monitor production processes to ensure product consistency and compliance
Work closely with Operations, Production, and Leadership teams
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Biology, Microbiology, or a related field
5+ years of Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in dietary supplement and animal feed manufacturing strongly preferred
Experience in Animal Food, Pet Food, Feed Manufacturing, or FDA-regulated Food Manufacturing
Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and Food Safety programs
Experience with FDA inspections and regulatory compliance
Experience leading audits, CAPA, and quality investigations
Environmental monitoring certification or hands-on environmental monitoring experience
Strong leadership and communication skills
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Highly Preferred Certifications
PCQI – Preventive Controls for Animal Food
PCQI – Preventive Controls for Human Food
Basic or Advanced HACCP Certification
Environmental Monitoring Certification
SQF Practitioner Certification
Additional Food Safety or Quality certifications
