Role Description This full-time, on-site Quality Assurance Specialist role is based at the DOGUET'S RICE MILLING CO. facility in Beaumont, TX. The Quality Assurance Specialist monitors production processes to ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and food safety guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine quality inspections, sampling and testing rice and related products, documenting results, and identifying nonconformities. The role also involves supporting internal and external audits, maintaining quality records, and assisting with corrective and preventive actions. The specialist collaborates with production, maintenance, and management teams to improve processes, reduce product defects, and uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Qualifications
Ability to apply core quality principles, including Quality Control and Quality Assurance, to food production processes.
Experience with Quality Management systems and procedures in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and their application in daily plant operations.
Skills in Quality Auditing, including preparing for, conducting, and documenting internal and external audits.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to accurately record and interpret test data.
Basic understanding of food safety regulations and relevant industry standards (e.g., HACCP, FDA/USDA, SQF guidelines is a plus).
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site. xqrzhdi
Prior experience in food manufacturing or quality-related roles; an associate or bachelor’s degree in food science, quality management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
