Software Test Engineer (QA)Robert Half is seeking a Software Test Engineer (QA) to support the delivery of enterprise applications with a strong emphasis on functional testing and API validation. This is a hands-on QA role focused on manual testing, not a dedicated automation/SDET position. The ideal candidate will have deep experience validating complex systems, including end-to-end workflows and system integrations.In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of enterprise applications by designing and executing comprehensive manual test cases, validating APIs, and supporting integrated system testing. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly understood and delivered with high quality.Duration: 6 months with possible ext. or conversionSchedule: Monday - Friday - Flexible hours, must be available 7-4PM PSTLocation: 100% RemoteKey ResponsibilitiesOwn QA activities for assigned projects and application enhancementsDesign, develop, and execute manual test cases (functional, integration, regression)Validate end-to-end business workflows across multiple systems and servicesPerform API testing using tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI and PostmanCreate and maintain test data and support test environment readinessLog, track, and verify defects through resolutionParticipate in requirements reviews, design discussions, and test planning sessionsDevelop test plans, test scenarios, and traceability matrices aligned to business and technical requirementsPartner with engineering teams to improve test coverage and system testabilityIdentify QA process improvements and promote best practices across teams
