Today, we continue to lead because we have a world-class, diverse workforce that puts the customer at the center of everything we do.About This RoleThe Quality Auditor is an hourly role responsible for inspecting and auditing products and processes to ensure they meet Carrier's quality standards. Working under general supervision, this role performs in-process and final audits, documents results and escalates non-conformances for containment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerforms in-process, final and layered process audits against control plans and standards.Inspects products and components using gauges, fixtures and measurement equipment.Documents audit results, defects and non-conformances accurately in quality systems.Identifies, tags and segregates non-conforming material and escalates for disposition.Supports containment activities and verifies effectiveness of corrective actions.Partners with production teams to resolve quality issues at the source.Maintains calibration status and proper use of inspection equipment.Supports continuous-improvement and defect-reduction initiatives.Required QualificationsHigh School diploma/GED5+ years of quality inspection or auditing experience in a manufacturing environment.3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).Ability to stand, bend, reach and perform repetitive motions for the full shift; lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with or without reasonable accommodation.Availability to work rotating shifts, weekends and overtime based on production needs.Preferred QualificationsTechnical/Associate degree or quality certificationCertified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent certification.Experience with CMM, vision systems or advanced measurement equipment.Knowledge of ISO 9001 and layered process audits.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, control plans and inspection instructions.Proficiency with measurement and inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, fixtures).Working knowledge of quality systems, non-conformance handling and documentation.Strong attention to detail with the ability to make sound judgments on product acceptance.The Carrier Way – Key CompetenciesThis role is expected to demonstrate our Carrier Way behaviors — Passion for Customers · Play to Win · Choose Speed · Dare to Disrupt · Achieve Results · Build the Best Teams.Core competencies: Focus on Safety & Quality · Drive for Results · Collaboration & Teamwork · Effective Communication.BenefitsEmployees are eligible for benefits, including:Health Care benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision; wellness incentivesRetirement benefitsTime Off and Leave: Paid vacation days, up to 15 days; paid sick days, up to 5 days; paid personal leave, up to 5 days; paid holidays, up to 13 days; birth and adoption leave; parental leave; family and medical leave; bereavement leave; jury duty; military leave; purchased vacationDisability: Short-term and long-term disabilityLife Insurance and Accidental Death and DismembermentTax-Advantaged Accounts: Health Savings Account; Healthcare Spending Account; Dependent Care Spending AccountTuition AssistanceThe specific benefits available to any employee may vary depending on state and local laws and eligibility factors, such as date of hire and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.Pay RangeThe hourly rate for this position is between $24.00 - $48.00 per hour.
