Overview
Job Title: Quality Control Associate / Technician
Location: San Clemente, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:15am–4:00pm (or end of production); some Saturdays & overtime required
Contract Length: 12/31/2025 (potential for extension)
Base pay range: $19.00/hr - $20.00/hr
Pay Range: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
Job Summary
The Quality Control Associate/Technician is responsible for monitoring production processes and ensuring all products meet our quality and food safety standards. This role involves hands-on testing, process inspections, and communication with production staff to maintain compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Perform in-plant testing of production operations and equipment to ensure products conform to specifications.
Inspect process control points and monitor product quality.
Identify, reject, or retain substandard products outside defined tolerances.
Document results accurately and in a timely manner.
Use computer software and electronic equipment for data entry and reporting.
Communicate inspection results and corrective action recommendations to production staff.
Collaborate with all departments to maintain high-quality standards.
Perform other related duties as needed.
Requirements
High school diploma/GED preferred.
Prior experience in quality control or food manufacturing strongly preferred.
Familiarity with HACCP principles a plus.
Ability to follow standard processes, procedures, and use testing equipment.
Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Food handling certification or related training is helpful.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
