Great team member perks like Instapay (early access to your wages) and high interest savings both through the EVEN app.Food Expeditor Duties & ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with the kitchen staff to prioritize and dispatch orders efficientlyEnsure accurate and timely delivery of dishes to tablesCollaborate closely with waitstaff to communicate special requests or modifications to kitchen staffAssist in the final preparation of dishes, including garnishing and quality checksMaintain a positive and collaborative working environment with kitchen and serving staffAddress any discrepancies or issues with orders promptly to enhance guest satisfactionUphold the restaurant's standards for food quality and presentationFacilitate communication between kitchen and waitstaff to streamline order fulfillmentA Food Expeditor's responsibilities go beyond simply delivering dishes from the kitchen to the dining area. This position is vital in ensuring service is timely, food is presented correctly, and the kitchen operates with precision.Here are additional key responsibilities that enhance the role:Monitor dish accuracy – Ensure correct prep, modifications, and plating.Keep workstation clean – Maintain an organized pass to support smooth service.Support training – Help onboard staff and model efficient, collaborative workflow.Food Expeditor Key Skills and QualificationsExceptional communication skills – Clearly relay orders and changes between kitchen and front-of-house to prevent delays or mistakes.Strong organizational abilities – Keep track of multiple orders to ensure timely and accurate service flow.Attention to detail – Inspect every dish for accuracy, presentation, and special requests before it leaves the kitchen.Physical stamina and energy – Remain alert and active throughout long, high-pressure shifts.Quick problem-solving – Address issues on the spot to maintain smooth and efficient service.Food Expeditor Experience Requirements & SkillsMinimum of two years of experience in a restaurant or hospitality settingStrong verbal and written communication skillsFamiliarity with order management systems and kitchen operationsEffective problem-solving skills to immediately address issuesAbility to work collaboratively and establish rapport with kitchen and serving staffAdaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic restaurant environmentApply to Levy today!
