Job description
NDE Level II Nondestructive Testing TechnicianABW has an immediate opening for an NDE Level II currently certified in accordance with SNT-TC-1A in one or more of the following methods: MT, PT, UT, MSLT, or AWS CWI. This is a full time position at our fabrication facility in Arlington, Washington. The essential functions of the job are as follows.Proficient in operating coordinate measuring machines (CMM) / Romer arms for automated quality inspectionsPerforms inspections and tests per QC Manual, QA Manual, procedures, instructions, drawings, and travelers at specified stages in production processInspects and/or tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristicsInterprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality of products or materialsRecords inspection and test dataEvaluates inspection and/or test data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing manuals, procedures, instructions, drawings, or travelersRecommends modifications of existing quality or production manuals, procedures, instructions, drawings, or travelers to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capabilitySets up and performs nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance or material characteristics, as applicableMust have proof of classroom and OJT hours for NDT certifications.Must be willing to work overtime as neededMust be able to multitask and work in a high pace environment.Willingness to grow and achieve additional certifications / training as needed.Excellent attention to detail and strong ethical standards with a desire to maintain a high level of quality.ABW is a leader in the Aerospace, Defense, Nuclear and Energy industries.
