Quality Control InspectorSMS Staffing is Hiring – Quality Control Inspector! Job Title: Quality Control Inspector Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI Job Type: Temp to Hire Pay: Starting at $18/Hr.+ (based on experience) Shift: 2nd Shift | 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM (Monday – Friday)Job SummaryWe're looking for detail-oriented inspectors to help maintain product quality. As a Quality Control Inspector, you'll check components, in-process materials, and finished goods, keep accurate inspection records, submit samples to the lab, and report defects. You'll also have the authority to place materials on hold or halt production if needed.Key Responsibilities for the Quality Control Inspector:Inspect materials and products against standardsRecord inspection and test dataSubmit samples to the labReport defects to Production, Shipping, and Quality managementPlace materials on hold or release as appropriateHalt production or shipment if safety or quality issues ariseMaintain a clean and safe work areaFollow all safety and food safety policiesRequirements for the Quality Control Inspector:High school diploma required; training in industrial quality practices preferredBasic math skillsAbility to read and follow job orders and specificationsStrong attention to detailAbility to work independentlyExperience with inspection tools like calipers preferredPhysical DemandsFrequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and reachingLift/move items 10–50 lbs regularlyVisual acuity for close, distance, color, and depth perceptionJoin the SMS team!
