Job description

Quality Control InspectorThe Quality Control Inspector ensures that incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products consistently meet established quality standards. This role focuses on inspecting products, identifying non-conformances, coordinating equipment calibration, and supporting continuous improvement efforts in a manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesPerform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.Coordinate the calibration of measurement and inspection equipment, including arranging calibration services with external vendors when required.Identify, document, and report quality issues, non-conformances, and defects in a clear and accurate manner.Conduct root cause analysis on quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.Issue Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs) when nonconformances are related to supplier performance and follow up to ensure resolution.Maintain accurate and organized records of inspections, test results, calibration activities, and other quality-related data.Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and management teams to resolve quality concerns and improve processes.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and production efficiency.Assist in the development, review, and maintenance of quality control procedures, work instructions, and documentation.Support internal and external quality audits by providing documentation, inspection records, and process information as needed.Essential SkillsProven experience in quality control, manufacturing, or a closely related field.Strong understanding of quality standards, procedures, and inspection methodologies.Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.Proficiency in using measurement tools and inspection equipment for dimensional and visual inspections.Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle defects and non-conformances.Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and recommend practical solutions.Excellent communication skills to clearly document findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Additional technical training or certification in quality control or a related discipline is preferred.Experience with ISO 9001:2015 standards and quality management systems is a plus.Strong teamwork abilities and a collaborative mindset when working with production, engineering, and management.Comfort with maintaining detailed records and documentation in a structured and organized manner.Why Work Here?You will join a culture that values precision, accountability, and continuous improvement, where quality is viewed as a shared responsibility across the organization. The setting emphasizes adherence to documented procedures, careful record-keeping, and safe handling of materials, with appropriate work attire suited to a factory or shop-floor environment.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Coatesville, PA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
