Job Description Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector I to join our team in Orlando, FL. In this role, you will perform routine inspection procedures across all stages of production (including incoming materials, in-process components, and finished subassemblies) to ensure strict adherence to quality assurance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform incoming/pre-production, in-process, final, and pre-ship inspections.
Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of manufactured parts and assemblies using engineered drawings.
Utilize precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, thread/pin gauges, no-go gauges, height gauges, and angle gauges.
Measure critical dimensions (length, height, angle, distance) to verify mechanical compliance.
Compile inspection data, document findings, and report rework/reject information to senior quality staff.
Record receiving inspection data accurately in MS Office and the PTI ERP system.
Complete training on Optical Metrology Systems, XRF measuring instruments, and specialized ERP modules.
Maintain compliance with ITAR regulations and quality documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: 1-3 years of applicable quality inspection experience desired (experience with electronic devices preferred).
Technical Skills: Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and precision hand tools; strong working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
Standards & Drawings: Familiarity with GD&T desired; knowledge of IPC-A-610 or IPC-J-STD-001 is a strong plus.
Environment: Prior experience working in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 certified manufacturing setting is preferred.
Must be able to view ITAR data without a license and complete background check/drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform light lifting and conduct detailed visual inspections.
