Job description
Quality Control InspectorWe are seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to support a manufacturing operation. This position is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet required drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The ideal candidate has previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment and is comfortable reading blueprints, using precision measuring equipment, documenting inspection results, and working directly with production when quality issues are identified.ResponsibilitiesInspect incoming materials, fabricated components, and finished products for quality and dimensional accuracy.Perform visual and dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, tape measures, and other measuring equipment.Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.Verify parts meet required dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards.Identify non-conforming materials or products and communicate issues to production.Inspect reworked parts to verify corrections have been completed properly.Complete inspection records, quality reports, and other required documentation.Assist with the investigation of recurring defects and production quality issues.Work with production employees to identify causes of defects and improve product quality.Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.Essential SkillsPrevious quality experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.Understanding of dimensions, tolerances, and basic manufacturing quality standards.Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies.Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with production employees and supervisors.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with first-piece, in-process, or final inspection.Experience in weld or fabrication inspection.Experience in non-conformance reporting.Experience in root cause analysis.Experience in corrective actions.Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement.Why Work Here?This position offers the opportunity to transition from an hourly to a salaried role with paid overtime within the first year. While the environment is non-climate controlled, it remains comfortable.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, MO.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.78 - $27.58/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
