Quality Control ReceiverJoin Produce Innovations/Loffredo Fresh Foods as a Quality Control Receiver based out of our food processing plant in Norwalk, IA. Produce Innovations is a leader in fresh-cut produce processing, specializing in the preparation and packaging of fresh-cut, all-natural snacks. We are committed to attracting a team that is passionate, innovative, and committed to meeting our customer's needsThe QC Receiver is responsible for inspecting and verifying incoming products and materials to ensure they meet company quality and food safety standards before entering inventory. This role combines receiving, quality control, and documentation, with a focus on accurate counts, product condition, quality specifications, and proper storage and handling. The QC Receiver works closely with the Quality, Procurement, and Warehouse teams to identify and resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate receiving records.Pay: $20 - $23 an hourWhat you'll do:Inspect incoming products for quality, damage, weight, Brix content, specifications, and accurate quantitiesVerify purchase orders, receiving documents, and product informationEnter received purchase orders into the warehouse management systemDocument and communicate shortages, damaged goods, and quality concernsSeparate and document non-conforming or defective productsInspect stored products for quality, expiration dates, proper rotation, and ingredient statementsWork with Procurement and Warehouse teams to resolve receiving and quality issuesCoordinate with Procurement to schedule and maintain receiving appointmentsMaintain accurate and organized quality and receiving documentationFollow quality, food safety, and company procedures while completing additional duties as assignedWhat we look for:High school diploma or 3+ years of experience in an FDA or USDA-regulated food facilityKnowledge of quality control procedures and food safety practicesStrong attention to detail and accuracySelf-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervisionStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people at all levels of the organizationAbility to stand, walk, sit, push/pull, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds or moreComfortable working in a cold processing environment (approximately 34–36°F), including damp or wet conditionsAbility to use required PPE and safely work in a moderate-noise environmentWhat you'll gain as a Loffredo Team Member:Competitive salary and comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, available 1st of the month following 30 days employment401k with company match available following 6 months of employmentAdditional voluntary insurance such as basic/supplemental life and disabilityPaid time off & Paid holidaysRegular and constructive performance feedback
