Quality Control Supervisor - Swing ShiftThe Quality Control Supervisor is accountable for providing leadership and oversight for all quality functions to ensure food safety and food quality. Essential Functions include supervising and implementing the required training of team and ensuring adherence to all policies, procedures and governmental regulations. Supervising and implementing career planning and personal development of staff. Supervising and ensuring annual performance reviews are effective and completed on time. Responsible for the selection of top talent and on the job training for new hires and coaching for top performance. Participating in daily line activities and communicating with management across all departments to ensure shift quality standards are met. Directing coordination of staff assignments to food product copackers, monitoring production activities in off-site locations. Utilizing input from the Compliance department, monitoring the packaging compliance of all state and federal packaging regulations. Responsible for understanding the Food Safety and Quality Management System and related activities, including the Food Safety & Quality Policy. Providing support and guidance for the food safety and food quality programs (SQF, HACCP, GMP). Verifying and maintaining quality control documentation. Facilitating team meetings. Providing technician training and development, ensuring adherence to all policies, procedures and governmental regulations. Overseeing the auditing process of all packaging materials, expediting the quality inspection process of the materials in order to facilitate timely use. Providing ongoing assistance and leadership to develop and improve the department's quality control program.Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree and/or a minimum of 3 years prior experience preferably in a high speed manufacturing environment. Three years plus experience in Quality Control required and supervisory experience preferred. Working knowledge of packaging equipment and how it impacts quality. Excellent technical knowledge and analytical skills. Strong communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and influence management skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow through with projects. Excellent organization and time management skills. Proactive in addressing problems for positive results. Process oriented with focus on continuous improvement. Strong interpersonal skills, proven ability to communicate effectively and work well with other employees. Work independently without supervision, as well as part of large groups and teams. Advanced Computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel, SAP, LIMS).Working Conditions include ability to work a flexible schedule, including long and irregular hours during peak periods. Moderate to heavy physical work. Work site may be any one of Trinchero Family Estates' facilities. Standing for long periods of time (8 hours per day). Must comply with all safety equipment requirements including ear plugs and safety glasses. Exposure to various chemicals in production areas. Exposure to machinery, forklifts and related production equipment. Extensive walking and lifting of up to 55 pounds.
