Quality Electrical Tester - 2nd ShiftEaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Quality Electrical Tester - 2nd Shift.The hours for this role are Monday through Friday, 3:30pm - 12:00am.The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 + $1.00 Shift Diff per hour.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What You'll Do:Ensure the integrity and functionality of low voltage electrical assemblies by conducting thorough testing and verification processes. This includes detecting and diagnosing issues, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining high-quality performance of electrical systems.• Inspect and electrically test low voltage products produced on all lines, according to inspection work instructions and in accordance with applicable governmental requirements. Confirm proper function per test scripts, identify any product non-conformances, and ensure it meets customer specifications, safety, and quality requirements. Document inspections on the applicable checklist.• Perform final and in-process inspections across multiple product lines as appropriate to ensure Quality products to customers.• Experience with low voltage assemblies from premium customers for data centers.• Program controllers and conduct thorough electrical testing of low voltage assembly products.• Experience with customer functional test scripts.• Experience with primary and secondary injection tests.• Perform inspections and audits of mechanical and electrical assemblies.• Strong understanding of electrical theory and circuit design.• Read and interpret technical documents and schematics.• Follow applicable test procedures and component literature, including the Universal Voltage Cart.• Use Hi-Pot, continuity test, and component-specific testing devices to perform electrical testing. Verify switches and circuit breakers function properly. Verify torqued connections using a torque wrench, per inspection instructions. Conduct electrical and mechanical tests per safety and training requirements and procedures.Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution• Minimum of 1 year of experience performing electrical testing (troubleshooting, circuits, testing electronics, product testing, system diagnosis)• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Eaton El Paso, TX facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position.Preferred Qualifications:• Two or more years of experience in a Quality or Electrical Tester position in a manufacturing environment.• Experience in Low Voltage Assemblies.• Computer literate.• Working knowledge of Lean concepts.Position Criteria:• Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving skills. Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment.• Knowledge of basic electricity, current flow, and component functionality schematics/wiring diagrams and assembly processes on all lines. (Hi-Pot, Shunt Trip).• Knowledge of all assembled Low voltage Assemblies.• Experience in applicable UL codes, NEC codes, regional utility codes, customer-specific requirements.• Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret manufacturing documents, including front view, MIs, Blow-Thru, Wiring Diagrams, component literature, engineering drawings, and testing procedures.• Requires thorough knowledge of basic electricity, current flow and component functionality.
