Job Description

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role plays a key part in ensuring that our CNC machining and assembly operations consistently meet the strict quality standards required by our customers. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance processes, creating work instructions, collaborating cross-functionally to improve workflows, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and industry standards, and operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to validate product quality and dimensional accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Review systems, processes, and workflows to drive continuous improvements and operational efficiencies.

Inspect and test in-process and finished products to ensure conformance to specifications, standards, and customer requirements.

Operate, program, and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to perform dimensional inspections, develop inspection programs, validate product conformity, and support manufacturing and engineering initiatives.

Collaborate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Operations to identify process improvements, eliminate waste, and strengthen quality controls.

Establish, document, and implement quality standards, procedures, and work instructions.

Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection plans, control plans, and audit records.

Train and mentor team members on quality measurement techniques, GD&T, metrology tools, CMM operation/programming, and problem-solving methodologies.

Participate in root cause analysis, corrective action, and preventive action activities (CAPA).

Support customer, regulatory, and internal audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.

Ensure compliance with defense and federal quality requirements as well as internal company standards.
