Assistant Quality Engineering Manager

Greater Richmond, VA | 100% Onsite | Direct Hire

Up to ~$130K Base + Annual Bonus

Adecco Permanent Recruitment is partnering with a large, highly established engineering, manufacturing and technology organization seeking an experienced Quality Engineering professional for a highly visible leadership-track opportunity in the Greater Richmond, VA area.

We're looking for someone who brings the technical credibility of an engineer, the quality discipline of a strong Quality leader and the ability to influence teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain and Project Leadership.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer, Quality Engineering Manager, Quality Manager, Supplier Quality Manager, Product Quality Manager or Quality Systems leader ready to take on broader responsibility within a growing, complex engineering environment.

THE PROFILE WE WANT

✔ Bachelor's degree in Engineering – REQUIRED

✔ 5+ years of progressive Quality Engineering / QA / QC experience

✔ Experience supporting complex engineered products, electrical/electronic systems, industrial manufacturing, power equipment, mission-critical infrastructure or similar technical environments

✔ Strong Quality Management Systems (QMS) experience, ideally including ISO 9001 and/or AS9100

✔ Hands-on experience with Root Cause Analysis, Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA), 8D, 5-Why, FMEA and/or similar structured problem-solving methodologies

✔ Experience with audits, inspections, nonconformance/deviation management, process improvement and quality documentation

✔ Ability to partner effectively with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Suppliers, Contractors and Customers

✔ Leadership experience — whether through direct reports, technical leadership, mentoring or leading cross-functional quality initiatives
