Job description
Aircraft InspectorInspect aircraft assembly activities and products for conformance with government and company standards and specifications. Report deviations and support preventive and corrective actions analysis aiming the delivery of products and services at their highest quality to customers.Job ResponsibilitiesInspects the installation and operation of aircraft parts and equipment.Inspects work areas and detect potential quality and air safety risksRead and understand the applicable technical information from Work Instructions, Drawings, Standards and Specifications.Document production and process non-conformancesUse of inspection tools and test equipment applicable to the activity.Perform necessary work registers as requested by production and quality documentsPrepare technical reports of quality deviations for engineering analysis.Support root cause analysis, correction actions and preventative actionsParticipate in kaizens and projects to improve efficiency and quality goalsEssential Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesEducation:Required: H.S. Diploma or GED.Desired: A..S. degree in Aviation.Desired: A&P LicenseDesired: IA FAA LicenseExperience:Generally 1-4 years of quality experience in an aeronautical environmentPrior inspector work experience with aerospace quality systems that meet FAA requirements.Capable of performing standard tasks under supervisionProficient in Internet Explorer, Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Access)Use of basic measurement instruments and test equipmentAbility to read and interpret technical data (blue prints, specifications, requirements)Experience in aviation or quality inspection experienceTechnician Role requiring basic Skills to perform most of the standard tasks within the technical area assigned to.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Ability to read technical documents and interprets the information - metric system.Understand procedures, acting in problem solving, suggesting improvements.Safety and operating procedures for power-on aircraftApplication and use of precision measurement instruments and test equipment.Team workerLogic thinkingDetail orientedEmployees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.This employee is subject to an annual vision test.General Commitment for All Employees:Commitment to company values and complies with department norms, policies, directives, and procedures.Incorporates Lean and P3E processes and concepts into daily activities.Strive for continuous improvement to processes and procedures.Honors and protects confidential and proprietary documents and information.Satisfies work schedule requirements.The job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties or responsibilities that are required by the employee.
