Job description
Quality Inspector IThe Quality Inspector I inspects parts to appropriate visual and dimensional customer specifications; shares responsibility for final quality to the customer; runs reports and understand the work cell priorities; works closely with production; and must be dedicated to "on time" results and committed to having no customer returns.This role is based at our facility in Tucson, AZ1st Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 5:00 am – 1:30 pmYou will have the opportunity to:Conduct dimensional inspections; use sales orders to apply correct customer specifications or exceptionsRead and understand part prints and tolerances, know the order of governing documentsUse a variety of measuring and data recording equipment, including at least micrometers (various types and sizes), profilometer, and metallographic cameraPrepare reports, calculate and record statistical data as needed to reflect quality status of productsThe selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).Materion Corporation and its subsidiaries (the "Company") is an equal employment opportunity employer.
